Paper or Verified PDF?

Choose the format the receiving authority accepts, not simply the fastest format.

Apostille vs e-Apostille

A paper apostille is attached to a physical UK public document. An e-Apostille is an electronic certificate attached to an eligible PDF and can be verified online. The UK service currently states that e-Apostilles can take up to two working days, but not every document qualifies.

For an e-Apostille, the uploaded PDF must meet official requirements and be electronically signed by a UK notary or solicitor. The receiving bank, registry or court may still insist on paper, a translation or extra consular legalisation.

Ask the recipient for written requirements before ordering. After issue, verify the apostille through the official UK service and do not alter the certified file.

  • e-Apostille official fee GBP 35
